Daly Patrick Hammond, Jr, 97 yrs, passed away on April 3, 2024, at home in Houston, Texas.   He was born March 1, 1927, to Martha Koepke and Daly Patrick Hammond, Sr.  Daly was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Lavada Hammond, daughter Gail Nolan, and granddaughter Jeannine Nicole Guillory
He is survived by his children: Carol Collier, Nancy Guillory, Ronald Hammond, Theresa Hurtig, and Karen Torgerson; grandchildren: Tim Collier, Mark Collier, Melinda Dobson, Matt Collier, Michelle Guillory, Josh Hammond, Samantha Hammond, Shane Stower, Sarah Girard, Lucas Dinkins, Logan Dinkins, and CJ Torgerson; and many beloved great-grandchildren.

When his nation called, he answered by joining the US Marines at a young age.  CPL USMC Daly Patrick Hammond, Jr was WWII & Korean War Veteran & a proud US Marine his whole life.
Daly worked as Assistant County Auditor for Galveston County, Texas, before retiring to enjoy his passions.  He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening.   Indoors, he loved to cook, barbecue and watch his favorite ball games.  Above all, he loved his family.
