To the Family:
It was a wonderful honor to know Mason and see him go from a quirky teen to a kind caring spirit filled young man. Mason never met a stranger and left a light and smile wherever he went. Thank all of you for sharing Mason with us.
Please know that the entire UVA-YRC family sends our condolences.
Delayne , David, Laurie, and your family,
Sometimes it is difficult to find just the right words. I have had to bring the sad news of the death of a child to parents and grandparents who never conceived of their child going before them. And yet death respects no one. It can come to anyone at anytime. But I know God promises to be with us when the waters are calm or when the shadow of death draws near. I know He loves us and so sends His beloved Son Jesus to the cross for us and Jesus rises for us and gives to us the promise of being forever with Him where pain and death can no longer touch us.
Please know that God is with you, many are praying for you and will be there for you, and that Mason is in the loving and compassionate care of our Lord Jesus.
God bless you! God be with you! God love you!

Laurie – I cannot begin to imagine how difficult this is, nor are there adequate words to express my sorrow for you in the loss of your baby (for he will always be your baby). I will pray that Mason has found peace and that you, too, will find peace. Hugs,
Laurie.
I’m sorry for your loss. Mason is at peace and in his special place where he is safe and happy. Please know we will always remember little Mason. Your mom and dad will forever be in our hearts as well. Tristan as well

I’m so sorry for the loss of Mason. Losing the ones we love is never easy, especially when the is so much more living to do. No wonder the Bible refers to death as an enemy. It rushes into our lives and robs us of those we love. But God promises that this enemy will be “brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:26) Certainly no enemy is too daunting for our heavenly Father. He promises to heal our hearts by restoring life to those we have lost by means of resurrection. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) My the prayers of many and these promises from God help to bring you comfort at this most difficult time.
Praying for your family during this tough time. I lived down the street from mason when we were younger and also went to high school with him for a short time, he was always kind and outgoing, I’m so sorry to hear of his loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
Mason was a good kid. My heart is broken. I’ll miss seeing him around.
