Robert Edwin Distler, of Kemah, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the age of 87. He was born December 17, 1928 in Clarion, Pennsylvania to Edwin and Isador Distler. Robert was a Korean war veteran and was an honorary member of St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus and IBEW Local 716. He is survived by his wife Eileen, married for 63 years, sons Michael and Thomas, daughters Connie Wright and Victoria Stuckey, five grandchildren John and Allen Wright sons of Connie and John Wright, actively serving in the Navy, Kenny and Christopher Stuckey sons of Kenny and Victoria Stuckey and Kimberly Stuckey daughter of Victoria and Kenny Stuckey, and nine great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573. A Mass will follow on Thursday at 10am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Howard Drabek officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson.
