  1. I am very sorry for your lose. I remember Steve as a young boy. We used to play a lot of baseball, football, and go craw fishing. He was a great joy. I know he will be missed. I pray for the family.

  2. Judy, Rachel and Daniel,

We can shed tears that he is gone.
Or we can smile because he has lived.
We can close our eyes and pray that he’ll come back.
Or we can open our eyes and see all he’s left.
Our hearts can be empty because we can’t see him.
Or can be full of memories we shared.
We can turn our backs on tomorrow and live in yesterdays.
Or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
We can remember him and only that he’s gone.
Or we can cherish his memory and live on.
We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn our backs,
Or we can do what he’d want.
Smile, and open our eyes, love and go on.
    Gone but not forgotten.

Steve was a great friend to me. Someone I knew to be a devoted father, husband and a kind, gentle soul. I will miss him and always remember him with fond memories… Gone too soon, but may he rest in peace.

  5. Steve was one of a kind. I’ve sure missed working with him since he left the phone company. We were two old TIRKS people, 1000 miles apart, raging away on conference call after conference call about the latest insanities. Most often we were on the same side and I took great comfort in that! Smart man, good man, and boy, could he battle with the best of them! He will be missed and he will be remembered! My deepest sympathies to all his loved ones.

  6. Steve and I stayed in touch after he retired. I’m sure going to miss touching base with him occasionally, so we could trash talk over sports, mostly football and baseball. I was especially looking forward to the rest of this year with the Rangers and Astros. With Mr. Howard, you always knew exactly how he felt about something, LOL. He’ll be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
