Bernice L. Williams-Smith, 94, of Algoa passed away on Thursday, April 07, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 12, 1921 to Fredrick and Annie Quebe. 

Bernice was a lifelong residence of Algoa and was a member of the Republican Party.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Park D. Williams and her second husband Warren M. Smith; daughters Beverly Ymmer and Sherry Williams; her sons James Williams, Donald Williams and Dean Williams; sister Dorothy Pope and all her brothers.

She is survived by her daughters; Elizabeth Davantier and husband Gus, Dorothy Smith and husband Robert and Sue Williams; her sons Dale Williams and wife Colleen and Lawrence Williams and wife Lora; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  A graveside service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
