Deasmond W. Davis, 93, of La Marque passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 in Texas City, Texas. He was born January 5, 1923 in Umpire, Arkansas to Charlie and Winfred Davis. He was a lifelong resident of Galveston County since 1959 and was raised in Logansport, Louisiana. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque. Deasmond was a veteran in the United States Marine Corp serving in WWII; he was with the Corp of Engineers for over 25 years and a Project Superintendent for the Galveston Seawall and Project Superintendent for the Texas A & M Maritime Academy on Pelican Island.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Winfred Davis. Deasmond is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Marjorie T. Davis; son Todd Davis; three grandchildren; Cheryl Davis, Kimberly Davis and Amanda Davis; great grandson Luke Moser and his extended family; Dale Walters, Michal Walters, Karen Walters-McPherson, Robert Walters, Kaelyn McPherson, MaKayla McPherson, Mackenzie McPherson, Tyler Walters, Donna M. Davis and Janet Bronson.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
