Cheryl Suffron
Cheryl Suffron, beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend, went home to her Lord Jesus on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Clear Lake.
Cheryl Elaine Everly was born January 17, 1948, in Long Beach, California, the firstborn daughter of Elmer Doran and Irene Grace Everly. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, with her parents and sisters, Debbie and Kim. There she met and married Ray, a young Air Force captain, on April 29, 1972. She moved to Klein, Texas, in the summer of 1981, with Ray and her sons Jeff, Stephen, and Christopher. Her daughter Shannon was born in the following years, before the family moved to League City, Texas, in 1989.
Cheryl loved Jesus, teaching her children to follow Christ, as well as leading women’s Bible studies at Northwest Bible Church in Klein. She was a member of Bay Area First Baptist Church in League City, where she was involved in various ministries over the years, including singing in the choir. Cheryl worked as the assistant director at Happy Harbour Early Childhood Program in League City before her retirement.
Cheryl was a loving and fiercely supportive wife and mom. She loved watching her sons play baseball and listening to her daughter sing. She loved her grandchildren extravagantly, and was a wonderful Grandma/Moma. Her wisdom, warmth, and radiant smile were a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Raymond, of League City; sons Jeff and wife Lea of League City, Stephen and wife Liz of Stephens, Arkansas, Christopher and wife Amy of Pearland, daughter Shannon Hall and husband Chris of Pasadena; grandchildren Joseph, George, Hope, Susanna, and Allison; sisters Debbie Everly of Belton, Missouri, and Kim Bough and husband Randy of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law Don Suffron and wife Nyla, of Topeka, Kansas, sister-in-law Patsy Lankford and husband Wayland of Lawrence, Kansas, and countless other relatives and friends who loved her.
Visitation will be Monday, February 1, from 6-8 p.m., at Crowder Funeral Home in League City. Services will be held at Bay Area First Baptist Church, 4800 W. Main St. in League City on Tuesday, February 2, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Forest Park East.

Cheryl was my cousin (her father and my mother were first cousins) and we spent many hours and days together as children and young teens. I have only happy memories of her and those days and many images of her on our old home movies. As often happens as we age, she and I lost touch. Only about a year ago I found her again via Facebook and I feel as though I only did so in time to say goodbye. I know she adored and was greatly proud of her family. Though she has left us too soon, I know she is at peace. I wish her family strength through this trying time and hope that soon warm memories will help them smile through their tears. RIP, Cheryl. You earned it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk this journey together. What a blessing to know that she is with her Lord and full of joy. She loved all of you so much and took great pride in telling others about her family. Cheryl brought joy to life and to those she knew. She was beautiful inside and out. Cheryl: Cousin our Mothers were sisters, so sorry for your loss may Jesus be your stay walk close to Him he will see you through each valley you come to May God take your sorry and turn it to Joy in the Morning, Ray Stay so close to Jesus allow Him to remind you of each memory you guys made together, they are a comfort, stay in His word and clean to it is you walk. Shannon, Stephen, Christopher, and Jeff, Memories hold them close, May God hold you in his loving arms these next few days & weeks.

My prayers continue for you and all extended family as you say your final goodbye to Cheryl. Although I did not know her personally, I knew her by extension; and only good things were ever said about her. She was an extraordinary person who loved the Lord from every nook and cranny of her being. May you find comfort in wonderful memories and God’s continuing love.
