John James Otis, 93, passed away on January 13, 2016 in League City, TX. He was born on August 5, 1922 in Syracuse, NY. John was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Otis and is survived by his daughter, Mary E. Dawn; son, John L Otis and grandson, Jonathan Dawn.

When his nation called he answered by joining the US Navy. He attended Syracuse University. John worked as a project engineer for the Army Corp of Engineers. He enjoyed golf and participated as a RCIA leader and served as a Lector in the St Mary’s Catholic Church in League City.

Viewing will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 7:00PM with a rosary to follow at Crowder Funeral Home – Webster, TX

Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, League City, TX. Interment will follow at Mt.
