Stephen Alexander Buchanan, 1995-2015, passed away in the early morning of 20 October 2015 with his grandfather by his bedside. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on February 9, 1995.  Stephen is survived by his parents Charles A. Buchanan and Karen A. Buchanan of Houston, his paternal grandparents Charles D. Buchanan and Anita Buchanan of Clear Lake, his maternal grandmother Karen Howard of Huntsville, his aunt Tonya Buchanan of Houston, and his uncles Michael Howard and Sean Howard of Huntsville.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Wayne Howard of Huntsville.  Stephen’s death followed a very length hospital stay.  He struggled with several disabilities from birth.  While his death was far too early in life, he brought great joy to those of us who had the good fortune to have him in our lives much longer than doctors thought we would have.  He loved watching the Astros on TV with his grandfather.

A memorial service will be held at the Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas at 1:00PM on 24 October. A brief visitation prior to the service will begin at noon.  (Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Ctr Blvd)
