Very sorry for your loss Julie. I worked with Dan when he first came to UTMB and we worked together in the surgical ICU. They were great times! When the shift things was tough Dan was there I always knew he had my back.
Funny thing is when I see people wearing shorts in the winter it always reminds me of Dan. The years I worked with him he would show up to work in the middle of a Texas winter telling us it wasn’t cold because we had never experienced a winter in Rhode Island. He will be missed.
God bless you and your family.
Danny, you were a wonderful friend and coworker, I’ll miss you terribly.

Prayers of comfort for the family and friends. Dan was an awesome individual and will be dearly missed.
My name is Gary Giamalva. I had the privilege of cutting Dan’s hair for quite some time at Pete’s barbershop. Dan also worked with my wife Deborah Giamalva at UTMB in Galveston. Dan was one of the kindest men that I’ve ever met. It was a highlight in my life to have known a man such as Dan. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. God bless you………………
Prayers and comfort go out to you and your family during your time of loss.
Prayers and comfort go to you and your family now and in the days to come.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. O’Rourke. He cared for me at UTMB Center for Obesity and Weight Management during my weight loss journey and helped me to reach my weight loss goal before and after bariatric surgery. He was always very professional, caring and compassionate. He genuinely cared for his patients. I will keep his family, friends and colleagues in my prayers. My deepest condolences to all that loved and worked with this wonderful healthcare professional.
