Angelina Botello Guerra
Angelina Botello Guerra aged 90 years, passed away on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 in the Clear Lake Area/Houston, TX.
Originally from Corpus Christi, Angelina retired in 1986 from Memorial Hospital after 34 years of faithful service. She was a pioneer for women in the health care industry as one of the first women to take the Texas State Board for Licensed Vocational Nursing from Del Mar College in 1952. She was grounded in the community as a care taker of not only her family but others in need. Her devotion extended also to animals, especially cats! “I love those creatures”, she was often heard saying.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Herrera and Jesus Rocha Botello, infant daughter Elizabeth, brother, Ponciano , half-sister, Rosoria Garcia, aunt, Maria Gonzalez, nephew, Manuel H. Gonzalez and granddaughter, Kimberly A. Temple.
She is survived by husband of 47 years Ben Guerra Jr., immediate family; daughter, Mary Catherine and grandchildren, Kimberly Nichole and Benito Jesus. Angelina also has three daughters, Alyce, Audelia and Lorene, from a previous marriage as well as seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Crowder Funeral Home located at 2422 E. Broadway Street, Pearland, TX 77581
