I’ve known Max for over 10 years now and can honestly say “it was a priviledge and an honor” to know such a fine person. Max loved to have lunch and converstion with his friends and we all enjoyed his company so much. Great Guy, you will be sorely missed my friend !

So sorry to learn of the passing of my friend of over 30 years. I will miss his e-mails and quick wit. We had some good times and though we went our separate ways, we continued to keep in touch. I will miss you my friend.

Max was a long term friend from Union Carbide. A well respected and a man who readily made friends and gained respect from all. As a union Stewart he helped many, as an insurance agent he was honest and ready to help. Most importantly, as a man a great person who I had the honor to have as a friend. when I left Carbide he expressed concern that I was leaving. God bless you Max and rest in peace. Given your kindness and concern for others, I have not concern for your rewards in the after life.
Back in the day I knew Max to be a neat guy. Always appreciated him. God’s blessings on the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with Max’s family. My mother is Juanita Cook, a long time friend and former employee from the insurance business. Mom is not able to express her feelings any longer, but on her behalf, I want to extend the regret I feel to hear of Max’s passing. He was a great friend to our family and will be missed.
Hey guys – we are very sorry for your loss. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. I have heard many stories about Grandpa Max. I sure wish I would have had the chance to meet him. From what I hear – him and I would have enjoyed sharing a few stories!!
Max was a very special person, he was a kind, caring, giving man. Even though our time together was brief, I will never forget the times he and I shared, his wonderful smile and sparkling blue eyes. Max, I know how well you loved your gumbo, so I hope the angels are serving you plenty in heaven! God bless you and your dear family. You will be forever missed by all who were proud to have known you. May you rest in eternal peace.
We’ve had the privilege to know daughter Lollie, her husband Paul and their three young men. We’ve seen how Lollie’s strength and love has flourished in the family that she and Paul are raising.
a credit to what you have done, Max. Rest well in God’s arms.

Max,
My boss, my friend, my neighbor. Called and talked awhile with him about a month ago just to see how he was doing and to let him know I’m always on his block. Enjoyed working for him until the day he retired.
He always made sure I knew I was appreciated. He was a great teacher in insurance and he made sure of it that we knew what we were selling, lol.
My deepest sympathies are with you in this difficult time.
He will be dearly missed and please know that the family is in my prayers.
