Essie Faye Little
Essie Faye Little, 83, of La Marque, passed away Saturday, May 02, 2015, in Texas City. Essie was born July 14, 1931, in Henderson, Texas, to Stephen and Essie Brooks. Essie was a resident of La Marque for over 56 years. She liked to cook and eat and play the slots. She loved her children and grandchildren. Essie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Douglas Little; two sisters: Jessie Mae Williams, Dorothy Dean Woods; two brothers: Wesley Brooks, Rossie Brooks. She is survived by three sons: James C. Little, Darrell Little, and Gary Little; one sister: Lula Marie Sullivan; two brothers: Otis Brooks and Louin Brooks; eight grandchildren: Sean, Erin, Jason, Brandon, Kyle, Stephanie, Jayme, Scott; and One great grandchild: McKenzie. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, May 4, 2015, at James Crowder Funeral Home.
Dear Aunt Faye, you were always kind to me and I’ve never forgotten you. I know you are resting in the arms of the angels now. Love, Sherry

Aunt Faye,
As I sit here typing this message, memories are running through my mind. I can recall as a child taking the family trips down to the coast and the family gatherings up in east Texas. Thinking of these things puts a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Your picture is how I always have and always will remember you; with a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye. I will miss you.
