William Doak, 89, of El Lago Texas passed away on March 27, 2015. He was born on August 22, 1925 in Hays Kansas to William Wallace Doak and Mabel Eva Cole-Doak. William was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Doak in 2009. He is survived by his: loving wife of ___ years, Madeline McLean-Doak; daughter, Madeline Colleen Doak-Thomas; son, Michael Welch Doak; grandson, Christopher Michael Thomas and his wife Melissa Murphy Thomas; great-granddaughters, Caidyn Maura and Madeline Aura Thomas.

William graduated from the Colorado Military Academy (Denver, CO) and went on to earn a B.S. at Baylor University (Waco, TX). In 1943 when his county called William joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served with the 4^th Division, A Company, 25^th Regiment, in the battles of Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima (2^nd Wave) against the enemy.

Interment with full military honors (by VFW Dist 4) will take place at Houston National Cemetery.
