Albert Rodriguez
Albert Rodriguez, age 83, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Houston, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 20, 1942, in Galveston, Texas, to devoted parents Joseph Rodriguez and Vincenta Gutierrez Rodriguez. Albert was raised on the beaches of Galveston, where he spent his childhood exploring the shorelines and soaking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast.
Albert carried with him a strong work ethic throughout his life. He began his career at Davis Lynch Machine Shop, where he dedicated 45 years of loyal service. Through his commitment and perseverance, he rose through the ranks to become the supervisor of the Aluminum Department — a role that reflected his leadership and determination.
A man of many passions, Albert found joy in the simple things. He was an avid fisherman, often finding peace on the water. He was also a master of the grill, known for his barbecues that brought family and friends together. However, his greatest pride was his yard. A true gardener at heart, Albert poured his time and love into creating a beautifully landscaped haven. His hard work did not go unnoticed — he was honored with the Wish and Weed “Yard of the Month” award twice. His home was always surrounded by vibrant flowers, neatly trimmed lawns, and a warm welcome for all who visited.
Above all, Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lydia Almendarez Rodriguez.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Rodriguez; son Albert Rodriguez Jr. and wife Noel, and their daughters Taylor and Andrea; daughter Teresa Miller and husband Rick, along with their sons Chaston, Richard, and Rance; and son Vincent Rodriguez and wife Amanda, and their daughters Jocelyn, Viviana, and Lillian. He is also survived by three cherished great-grandchildren: Ella, Clara, and Lyla; as well as his brother, Joe Rodriguez and numerous extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
A visitation will be held in Albert’s honor on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, also in Dickinson.
Albert will be remembered for his hard work, love of nature, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the beauty he left behind.
Our deepest condolences to you all. May happy memories one day replace the sadness in your hearts.

My deepest condolences for Rodriguez family. I pray that you will have peace. I will miss him. He was my boss for many years. I will miss our fishing trips. God bless his family.
RIP Mr. Albert. I always enjoyed our talks and hanging out with Vincent and meeting the Rodriguez family. Now you can fish for as long as you like.
Sending prayers, love and light to the Rodriguez family.
A kind soft spoken gentleman for sure, I regret never getting to take Albert fishing as we had often discussed. I can imagine how much the family will miss this great man however he is spiritually with you all 24/7. I regret missing Alberts service; I was out of town the day of the funeral. Condolences to the entire family and rest in eternal peace Mr. Albert Rodriguez.
