Daniel A. Slaman

Daniel A. Slaman (Dan) of Dickinson, Texas, passed from this life on March 29, 2025.  It was his 80th birthday.

Dan was born on March 29, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana to parents, Albert Samuel Slaman and Laura Frieda Louise (Gerike) Slaman.

He met and married his college sweetheart and best friend, Patricia Harbison in their freshman year of college.  They were married for almost 61 years.  Together, they raised two children and numerous dogs and cats which were all part of the family. Dan loved to golf and was on the course as often as he could get there.  He also loved traveling, great food, a cold craft beer, watching the Chicago Cubs, playing cards and spending time with those he loved.

He was a Certified Public Accountant and had a career in accounting for over 60 years.

Dan is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind to treasure his memory, his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Christine Spiro and husband, Shaun; son, Tony Slaman and wife, Linda, grandson, Alex Slaman and his two brothers, Bill Slaman and Joe Slaman.  He will be missed by many.

The family is planning a celebration of his life for those who knew and loved him.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society (greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org) or other animal rescue charity of your choice.

  3. I will miss you much Dan. You were always an inspiration to me in how to live my life selflessly for others. And I must say, you are such a cool guy and a pleasure to be around. You lived by example. May God bless you with all His glory. I look forward to the time Christ calls me home too and I get to see you once again. +

O Sovereign Lord Christ, deliver your servant Dan, from all evil, and set him free from every bond; that he may
rest with all your saints in the eternal habitations; where with the Father and the Holy Spirit you live and
reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Let us also pray for all who mourn, that they may cast their care on God, and know the consolation of his
    love. Amen +
