  3. Barbara and family. Elsie and I share your grief in the loss of Sut. He found a special place in the collective hearts of his “adopted” family — the Water Valley High School class of ’54. When we were still teenagers, military service placed three of the class members in Tokyo at the same time during 1956-57: Sut, Lowell Willingham and myself. While there, we were able to visit with each other and continue a spirit of Water Valley comradery far from home. I was pleased to be able to talk to Sut a number of times in recent months and exchange emails with him. We’ll miss him. God bless you, your children and grandchildren.

  4. Charles was a classmate in Mississippi in the 1950’s. We were a close group in a small high school and over the years we continued that closeness through reunions, emails, and other communication methods. I am sad for the loss of a classmate, but I am grateful that Charles no longer suffers. May God grant peace and serenity to Barbara and his family. They were wonderful, constant caretakers. Charles is at peace and serene.

  5. Barbara, Henry and I were saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing. It took us back so many decades ago of the times we got together. Life does have a way of sneaking up on us and I am so sorry we lost touch. I have nothing but fond memories of the 2 of you. Henry has always said he would have never given “Lady” to anyone other than Charlie. He is at peace now with no pain or sorrow. And the way he loved God, I am sure he is kneeling at the feet of Jesus. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. With heartfelt condolences, Henry and Laura Reding
