Kyle Aaron Cannon

Kyle Aaron Cannon, 48, of La Marque, Texas passed away on January 24, 2025 in La Marque, Texas.  He was born on July 13, 1976 to John and Patricia Cannon in Webster.

From the time he was a baby he was a great swimmer. Prior to church and many events, he never failed to jump in the pool and tread water beyond reach of his fully dressed family. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His itchy trigger finger led him to “allegedly” peppering many fellow hunters and on a separate occasion “allegedly” shot a cow. But you can’t mention Kyle without baseball. He was an all-star left handed pitcher who played from tee-ball to college. He was a showman no matter where he went. He was a crazy, wild, lovable entertainer who would light up a room by telling stories, singing songs, and quoting movie lines. With his contagious laugh and charisma, Kyle never met a stranger. He made friends with anyone that would talk to him and anyone who sat around long enough for him to finish talking. He was very passionate about his looks and presence. He made sure to keep a fresh haircut, a stick of gum, spotless truck, clean shaven face, and he went to extremes like bleaching and ironing his laces for a shining pair of K-Swiss. All Kyle wanted to do was be a dad and in 2003 his best friend was born. After that Kyle spent his days with his son Caden teaching him all the things he loved to do. He took Caden on plenty of adventures. Kyle and his little sidekick loved to go to the movies, McDonald’s, Putt Putt Fun House, and just be around each other. If there’s one thing that Kyle enjoyed, it was family.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Kyle is survived by his son Caden Cannon; sister Cindy Freeman (Buddy), brother Danny Cannon (Corie), sister Nicole Gomez (Robert), nieces and nephews; Casey Freeman, Randi Salinas, Erin Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez, Cole Cannon, Dallis Cannon, and Chase Cannon.

A memorial visitation will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00-12:00 pm. Service will begin at 10:30am with Pastor Cliff Sanders officiating.

  3. Kyle was the very embodiment of charisma. There was never a dull moment when he was around, and you could always feel his presence the moment he entered a room. His magnetic personality was undeniable, and he knew how to light up any space. This news is truly heartbreaking, and my heartfelt prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

  4. The world has lost a great person, and one heck of a storyteller. We have been friends from the Bayou Vista days. The Cannon family has always treated me like family, as they did with everyone they met. I remember the early days wade fishing the Galveston beaches with Kyle and John, somehow, I always ended up with the stringer of fish tied to me :-). From fishing in Galveston to hunting in Hebbronville, no matter what was happening it was Kyle’s mission to make sure a great time was had. Danny and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I was devastated when i hear about John and Pat’s passing, your parents raised a great family. Rest in peace “Mejo”.

  5. I dearly loved Kyle. He was one of the sweetest men I knew. I remember the time he came out to the house in Santa Fe. Him and Eric would go out back hunting. Such a good person! He will be sadly missed by many!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  6. Growing up Kyle was my dad’s best friend. We called him Uncle Kyle. I couldn’t wait for the weekends to come because I knew Uncle Kyle was coming over. To me he was the biggest person in the world and I thought it was the craziest thing that he was longer than the couch was lol. Growing up with boys, he helped me be “better” than them at throwing the football and always beating them in races. We would race over and over and over again, with me winning every time. Little did I know he always let me win and cheered me and made me feel on top of the world. I had no idea how to throw a football, uncle Kyle was the super hero who taught me how to hold it to throw a perfect spiral. Again, cheering me on every time I threw it. We listened to music together and his favorite was Nickleback. When I tell you this I learned every single word to those songs and I will never forget them. Our favorite song to listen together was Rockstar by Nickleback. And that’s what he was to me. A rockstar. He always told the best stories and jokes. I loved listening to his stories about him growing up with Danny and how they were such amazing memories. I wish I could throw the ball to you one more time, beat you in our races, listen to your favorite songs, joke with you and just crack up laughing. I love you Uncle Kyle. Rest easy, this isn’t goodbye. This is for now, I can’t wait to see you again in Heaven.
