Ronnie Gonzales, Sr.

Ronnie Gonzales Sr, aged 61, of Dickinson, Texas, gained his beautiful wings on January 7, 2025. Born on September 20, 1963, to Julia and Simon Gonzales in Galveston, Texas. Ronnie was known for his vibrant personality, marked by intelligence, humor, and a problem-solving nature. He had a heart of gold, and he was always thinking of others before himself, a true loving man.  He left an imprint on everyone he knew, with his incredible amount of patience and generosity. A devoted family man, he cherished his wife Elizabeth, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage, and was a supportive father and grandfather. He met Elizabeth in high school as sophomores, where Ronnie anxiously asked her to go steady with him and the rest is history. They had 3 children Jessika, Ronnie Jr., and Viktoria, who all gained his sharp wit and family-oriented character. Ronnie Sr has 9 grandchildren, Jonathan and Seth Carr, Elena Jaramillo, Emy and Devin Bailey, Olivia Nava, Gabriella and Gavin Gonzales, and the newest addition Silvia Schumm. His hands were certainly full with spoiling and nurturing each and every one of them from going to the movies, taking them fishing, going to marching band competitions, softball, dance, and so much more. When Ronnie wasn’t with his family at home, he was with his other family that he gained over the 30 plus years as a pipeliner starting at Phillips 66. Ronnies eyes lit up when you asked him about his job, he would go into detail about his days and brag about how great his team was. After reaching retirement he allowed himself one weekend of pure leisure filled with golfing and fishing with his other half, Richard Gonzales. He then transitioned to his role as a PLM Coordinator at Enbridge, where he continued his love for the job and made sure that the team was always well fed and felt appreciated for the hard work that they did together. At home or at work, Ronnie was the go-to person for any type of advice, he was the man that you knew you could lean on. Ronnie found relaxation in many hobbies, including watching the Astros, The Texans, and the Dickinson Gators. As long as he had popcorn, coke, and a pickle he was content and happy.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; Daughter, Jessika Jaramillo & her partner Matt Bailey, her children Jonathan and Seth Carr, Elena Jaramillo, Emy and Devin Bailey; Son, Ronnie Jr., his wife Nadia and their children Olivia, Gabriella, and Gavin; Daughter Viktoria Schumm, her husband Mason and daughter Silvia; his twin brother, Richard and his wife Gerri; brother, Simon and his wife Amy, Gilbert and his wife Lori, Manuel and his wife Theresa, Jay Ybarra, Daniel Herrera and his wife Christy; and sister, Tina Ybarra.
