I met Evie and Bobby in the early 1980s through their son Terry. Through the years we shared many memories both good and sad. I was there when we laid Bobby and Terry to rest, I was there to celebrate when Evie retired, and I was there to dance with Evie at her 80th birthday. I was able to visit her and see her new place when she moved to Kerville, and the last time we were together was for a lovely Thanksgiving meal at Sharon and Randy’s house. If I had to use one word to describe Evie, it would be Stoic. She was one of my personal ” Steel Magnolias “.
Rest in Peace sweet Lady. and until we are together again save a dance for me.
