Lucy Ntube Ekwoge
Ma Ntube was more than just a name; she was a beacon of love, a pillar of strength, and an
inspiration to all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful tapestry, woven with threads of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith.
She cherished the Lord, Jesus Christ and He was her strength and guide.
She possessed a heart that knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer
a comforting word as many who knew her can attest. Her laughter was infectious, her smile
instantaneous and radiant, and endowed with an indomitable spirit. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, and her love was a gift that enriched the lives of countless people.
I remember vividly in Boarding school in Buea, after she and Dad were already in America; how she would write me letters encouraging and directing me; but most importantly how patient, gentle and kind she was and how she fulfilled my every need as a mother. For that, I will never forget and would ever remain grateful.
Oh, how much she loved making pancakes with Neolla, her granddaughter and namesake
the mornings they woke up together. It was a thing of beauty to watch them.
As a mother/grandmother/friend, she was extraordinary. She taught us the importance of
family, the value of hard work, and the power of love and love of God. Her legacy will live
on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the countless acts of kindness she exemplified or
inspired.
Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate her life and the beautiful memories we shared.
She is now at peace, and we find solace in knowing that she is watching over us from above.
Rest in peace, Dearest Mom. We will forever miss and eternally love you. We look forward to seeing you again someday at the Almighty God’s appointed time!
