Sara Hernandez, 94, passed away on November 1, 2024 in Houston, TX. She was born on January 9, 1930 in Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico as 1 of 12 children to Jose Gallardo Vasquez and Dolores Gomez de Gallardo. Sara is survived by: her husband, Juan Hernandez; son, Eduardo Hernandez; daughter- in-law, Shelley Hernandez; sister, Susana Gallardo; brother, Salomon Gallardo; grandchildren, Karis, Avery, Carston and Ainsley Hernandez; and numerous family members and friends.

Sara was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed reminiscing of her childhood where she played sports of all kinds with her brothers. She loved cooking, dancing, and spending time with family. She loved a good mariachi band! Her true joy, however, was caring for her 4 grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her time with them created life long memories that will be treasured forever. Sara also loved her trips to Mexico to visit family and friends. She was loyal to those she loved and was always willing to open her home for a short visit or an extended stay. She loved to travel, especially to beach destinations. She was loved by many and is truly missed.
