Lois Gwendolyn Christian
Lois Gwendolyn Christian, 93 of Santa Fe, Texas passed away on November 3, 2024 in Santa Fe. She was born on November 16, 1930 in Pontiac, Michigan to Wesley and Ida Mae Allen.
Lois has been a resident of Galveston County since 1952, most recently at Victorious Assisted Living where she made many new friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church Texas City and attended the Logos Sunday School Class. Lois worked for 15 years at American National Insurance Company before retiring. Her hobbies included sewing, baking bread, cookies, and pies, and reading John Grisham novels.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip Christian, Jr., son James Vernon Christian, son-in-law David Sikes and grandson Andrew Sikes. Lois is survived by her daughters; Kim E. Sikes and Paula K. Osborn, daughter-in-law Jennifer Christian, six grandchildren; Julie Perry, Jessica Simpson (Jeremy), Jill See (Richard), James Christian, Christy Roth (Cris) and Caycie Brandon (Phil) and fourteen great grandchildren; Caden Rodgers (Alyssa), Kynslie Perry, Brystol Perry, Ethan Riley (Chelsea), Jaxon Smith, Audree Smith, Stella Simpson, Ava Sikes, Kimber Sikes, Gunner Roth, Evelyn Roth, Grayson See, Collins See, and Brighton See and two great-great grandchildren; Corvin Rodgers and Annora Rodgers.
A visitation will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with the service to follow at 3:00pm with Pastor Kevin Wiltshire officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted by Jerry Williams at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Pallbearers are Phil Brandon, Cris Roth, Mark Goeman, Caden Rodgers, Ethan Riley and Jaxon Smith.
