Kathleen Marie Walsh Herfurth, age 83, passed away peacefully in Pearland, Texas on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Mrs. Herfurth was born April 7, 1941 in Inishbofin, County Galway, Ireland and immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts then San Francisco, California where she met her husband. They married in December 1963 and lived in Oxnard and Dana Point, California. Other moves led them to Illinois, Missouri, Long Beach and Brandon, Mississippi, with her last residence of eleven years being in Pearland, Texas.

Kathy was the beloved wife for forty-eight years of David Allen Herfurth who preceded her in death in 2011, and was preceded in death by her parents Cummin and Margaret (Cunnane) Walsh.

She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to read and loved gardening in which she grew the most beautiful rose bushes. She was dedicated to her children’s activities through the years ranging from baseball, football, softball, and served as a Cub Scout den mother.

“Mom” “Nana” “Grandma” is survived by four children, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: son, Kevin (Michele) Herfurth, Kyle Herfurth, Patrick Herfurth, and Hannah (Caleb) Stockstill; son, Michael Herfurth, Peyton (Hannah) Herfurth, Connor (Anne) Herfurth, Ace and Anne Wilson, Katelyn Herfurth, and Chase Herfurth; son, Sean (Samantha) Herfurth, Sara Herfurth and Lauren Herfurth; and daughter, Bridget (Eddie) Fitzgerald, Brinn Richardson and Trent Richardson.

She will be greatly missed and always be remembered as a loving and supportive
wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially the
Caramelitas, and who always gave her time and energy to help anytime her family
needed her.
