Sharon Marie Smith

Sharon Marie Smith, 73, of Santa Fe, TX, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Alvin, TX. She was born October 25, 1950 to loving parents Winfred Letrell and Helen Marie Wilson in Wichita Falls, TX.  Sharon worked for the Department of Labor as a census processor for many years.  She will be remembered as a loving devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Smith, Sr.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Mona Smith Tedder, and Kerri Mejia and husband Hugo; sons Kenneth Ray Smith, Jr. and wife Davelyn, Stacy Letrell Smith and wife Amy, and Samuel Sypien, and wife Sabrina Salinas; brothers Gary Lynn Wilson, and Ronald Letrell Wilson; grandchildren, Fayth Tedder, Saira (Cory) Adams, Kerrina Mejia, Yanecia Mejia, Izzy Mejia, Nadelyn Smith, Kendon Smith, Kolton Smith, Justin Green, Robert Green, Samuel Joseph Sypian, Jr., Alicia Sypian, and Levi Sypian; great-grandchildren Brohdi Adams, Veda Adams, Lilyana Mejia-Kingham, Everly Salazar, Allison Stoves; long-time family friend Sean Litchfield; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In her honor there will be a visitation 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, with a celebration of her life at 2:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas.

  1. Sharon “chocolate milk shake” Smith will be missed by many. I am not the best with emotional things; however as her favorite son-in-law we shared many good conversations about life politics nature people and even death. Although I have lost my conversation partner during family gatherings I am very happy she is in a better place.
