Rosemary Garcia McNab

Rosemary Garcia McNab, 99, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:15pm in Texas City, Texas.

A mass of Catholic burial will be held on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Highway 6 in Hitchcock, Texas. Rosemary McNab’s family will be receiving friends for a visitation and a Vigil service on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00pm in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, on Highway 517. Burial will follow services at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.

Rosemary was born in Galveston on August 10, 1925 to Manuel & Teresa Garcia. She attended Galveston Schools and graduated from Ball High School in 1943. She had worked in the credit department of Eiband’s, Robert I Cohen’s and Schreiber & Miller Furniture store. She also worked for Physicians Billing Service. After marriage, she and her husband Sydney moved to Texas City where they lived for seven years, then moved to Santa Fe where she has resided since 1964. She retired from the Santa Fe Ind. School District as a food handler after 20 years of service. She belonged to the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Mrs. McNab is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty years Sydney, her daughter, Carolyn, and her two sisters Carolina Garcia and Helen Heddles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Maureen Liguori; son Ronnie McNab; nephew, Eric Heddles; grandchildren, Stephen, TJ, Samantha and Kevin; great- grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ascher; as well as numerous, extended family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, Mrs. McNab’s family is requesting memorials in her memory be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Hitchcock, Texas
