Darlene Adair

Darlene Frances Adair, 79, a resident of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1945 in Henrietta, Texas to parents, Marvin Curtis Borgman and Josephine Elizabeth Bullinger.

Darlene was a loving wife and mother to her three children and loved all things artistic. She began drawing at an early age and, as an adult, she explored many mediums including coloring in coloring books, painting ceramics, creating arts & crafts of all kinds and, especially, painting fine china. She served as President of the Bay Area China Painters Club and was a member of the Texas State Federation of China Painters. She also enjoyed bowling, camping and travelling, with her most recent trip being to Las Vegas with her two daughters. She also had a caregiver’s heart and brought joy and caring to many people throughout her life.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Adair; her sister, Loretta Hise; brothers, Glen Borgman, Keith Borgman and Jerry Borgman.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Carey Macik and husband, Kenneth, Deidre Greer and husband, Joe; son, Wesley Adair and his wife, Brittany; sister, Elaine Edwards; brothers, Larry Borgman and Tony Borgman; grandchildren, Amy Greer (Amber Tullos), Angela Greer,  Brianne Macik, Dustan Greer (Taylor), Jeremy Greer, Blake Adair and Brody Adair and great-grandchild, Emerson Greer.

In her honor, there will be a visitation on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm. Interment will be on Saturday, September 27, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Henrietta, Texas.

  1. Darlene was a great friend & will be dearly missed. We loved to play different card games & even got Dea to play not long ago. She leaves lots of good memories. Prayers for all of her family who she was so proud of.

  2. Your mom was the most amazing painter, caring person, and wonderful friend a person could have. She was an exceptional teacher and always made me feel like I was much better than I was. I will miss her terribly. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren, and the in-laws-bragged about them constantly. I know that everyone in the Porcelain Art Club will truly miss her.   7. I grew up with Darlene & have such fond memories of her. She is the same age as my sister and Elaine is my age. Lots of fun times spending the nite with them and such a large Catholic family. Rest in peace Darlene and may God comfort your family and bring peace to all.
