Alex O. Ramos

(May 17th, 1969 – September 12th, 2024)

Alex Ramos, age 55, loving father of Agostinho and Nicolas Ramos, passed away Thursday, September 12th, 2024.

Born in Saô Paulo, Brazil, Alex was the son of Katherine Ramos.  He moved to Cleveland, Ohio when he was 7 years old. Alex attended St. Joseph High School (Class of ’86). He furthered his education and earned an ASN degree, followed by an MS degree from the prestigious Case Western Reserve University. Alex relocated to Houston, Texas and had a successful career as a CRNA. His most recent venture was the creation of his business, Island Drip Med Spa, that he had a strong passion for.

Alex prided himself on his children. His love and care for his boys was extended through the vocal medium; through travel excursions, experiences, coaching, and his love of cooking for them. Alex was a model father, and his parenthood should be the standard for those aspiring to have children. Beyond the attention that he gave his children, Alex loved ManCity football, and was highly regarded in both his local and professional communities.

Alex is survived by his loving family. His mother (Katherine), father (Wellington), sons (Agostinho, Nicolas, Ian), and sister (Karena). His extended family’s survivors include his nephew (Sebastian Euse), his nieces, (Bianca and Liliana Euse). His aunts (Terry Kraser and Margaret Edwards), and Uncles (Ronald Pehmoeller and David Pehmoeller). His cousins (Desiree Freris, Jennifer Kraser, Christopher Kraser, Rebecca Rushing, Wesley Pehmoeller, Mark Edwards, Natalie Bilavcic, Sarah O’Grady, Jessica Pehmoeller, John Pehmoeller, and Nicole Pehmoeller).

Alex’s wish was to have his cremated remains scattered among the ocean.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 5:00pm -7:00pm at the Crowder Funeral home, 851 FM 517 Rd. W., Dickinson, Texas 77539.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a joy to work with in our OR. He was always full of jokes or a funny story that kept everyone laughing. Not only did I get to work with him for several years, but he also took good care of me during my own procedures. He will be very missed.

  3. Alex was a passionate man who lived life on his own terms. He was hard working and ready to go an extra mile. He cared deeply for sons. He was forcefully truthful and at times the world is not ready for it. I have cherished memories with him of watching a soccer game with our kids. A soccer lover ! Loving dad ! You lived a short life but with full zest !
