Elizabeth V. Smith
Elizabeth Vann Smith, 88, was born on December 8, 1935 in Blakely, Georgia. She passed away on August 23, 2024 at her home in Pearland, Texas. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Elijah Richardson and Nora Lee Richardson, husband Leon Smith, brother Homer P. Harrison and sisters, Marjorie Matillo, Sarah Muller, Nancy Dollar and Betty Odom. Elizabeth is survived by her brother Edward P. Richardson (Judy), son Victor Vann (Olivia), step son Roger Smith (Susan), step daughter Shannon Ser (Brad) and 5 grandchildren: Billy, Haeven, Austin, Addison and Jackson and 2 step grandchildren: Nicole and Michael. Elizabeth, known to many as Liz, Giz or Beth, was loved by everyone that knew her. She loved her family and family came first. She was an honest person, very trustworthy and was someone that you could count on. She lived her life with high morals and was a perfect example of how to be a decent human being. She was the best mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Elizabeth was married to the love of her life, Leon, for 41 years. After retiring from Kroger, they moved to Livingston, Texas where they enjoyed their beautiful lake front property for over 20 years and just recently moved back to Pearland. The two had a wonderful loving marriage full of companionship and laughter and are reunited together again in Heaven. Elizabeth held a special place in all of our hearts and we will surely miss her.
Funeral services will be held graveside on September 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
