Patricia Herrmann

Patricia Herrmann, a remarkable woman whose life spanned eras of profound change, passed away peacefully on August 15th at the age of 82. Born in Chicago on December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor Day, her life story is one that is intertwined with love, laughter, and friendship.

A beloved mother and grandmother, Pat was cherished for her kindness, wit, humor, and strength. Her home was a welcoming place filled with love, laughter, and animals. She was married to her loving husband Al for 41 years and together they raised two beautiful children, Albert and Brenda.

Pat was blessed with the gift of gab. She could walk into a room, find commonality with strangers, and leave them with an impression they would never forget. As many of you know, Pat was an avid knitter. From the slippers made for grandchildren to the prayer shawls made for her church, if there was down time you could count on Pat having her knitting bag by her side. She also had quite a competitive streak and if you got between her and her cards, you were in trouble.

Her grandchildren would tell you she was the quintessential grandmother. From the knickknacks in her home to the breads and pies she would bake, she encompassed everything a grandmother should aspire to be. Pat truly cared for others and had a servant’s heart. She would give the clothes off her back to someone in need. She was constantly trying to find ways to make someone’s day brighter.

She is preceded in death by her husband Albert, mother Christine, father Louie and grandson JJ. Pat leaves behind a lifetime of love and a legacy of her memory through her sister Christine and brother-in-law Robert, her son Al, her daughter Brenda and son-in-law Jim, grandson Michael and his wife Sarah, granddaughter Elizabeth and her husband Andrew, her great grandson, Aedyn and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5-7:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, located at 111 East Medical Center Blvd. in Webster, Texas.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, Texas with Father Bob Barras presiding.

  1. May God rest the soul of our dear friend, Pat. She will be missed by so many. Always a smile, always a kind word for everyone. And what a beautiful talent with her prayer shawls.

  2. Though I did not have the privilege of knowing Patricia, personally, her legacy is clearly reflected in the exceptional qualities of Brenda, her daughter and our colleague. The strength, warmth, and resilience that Brenda brings to our team is a testament to her mother’s wonderful influence. Brenda, we stand with you during this time of loss, offering our support and heartfelt condolences.
