Marcus Frank Thomas Guillory
Marcus Frank Thomas Guillory, 47, of Texas City quietly left this earth to be with the angels in Heaven on August 7, 2024 at the UTMB Victory Lakes in League City, TX.
Marcus was born on December 21, 1976, in Galveston, TX to Joseph and Linda Marie Guillory. He attended elementary and high school in La Marque and graduated from the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, TX in 1995.
Marcus accepted the Lord at an early age, and was baptized at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where he was a lifelong member.
Marcus was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and working with his hands. He had several hobbies that he enjoyed, including hunting, fishing, taking care of all animals (big and small), working on cars, and repairing small electronics. Marcus was a fun-loving person with a big personality, who never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and could make you laugh without saying a word. He was fiercely protective of his family and friends and would go out of his way to help in any way he could. He was a huge Houston sports fan and never missed an opportunity to root for the home team, regardless of whether it was the Texans, Astros, or Rockets.
Marcus is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Marie Guillory, his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Dora Guillory, his maternal grandparents, Perversie McAdams and Jack Alicin Harmon, and his paternal uncle, Luther Paul C. Guillory.
Loved ones who remain to cherish his memory are his father, Joseph Guillory (Dorothy) of Texas City, Texas; 2 children, Linda Selina and Jonah James Thomas Guillory of Alvin, Texas; 7 siblings, Tracey Guillory (Rebecca) of Opelousas, Louisiana; Jeryl Ann Wilson of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Joseph A Guillory III (Latrice) of Texas City, Texas; David P Guillory (Monica) of Spring, Texas; Simon M Guillory (Jing) of Splendora, Lori Blanton (Robert) of League City, and Lartesha Huerta (Juan) of Texas City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, play cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am-10:30am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rosary Service at 10:30am. A mass will follow at 11am, with Monsignor James B. Anderson officiating. A special thank you to all the caregivers during his time of illness.
