Lillie Elizabeth Dovel
Lillie Elizabeth Dovel, of League City, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 in Houston, Texas at the age of 92. She was born on June 28, 1932 in Linville, Virginia to Weldon and Tracy McDorman.
She was a member of Bay Harbor Methodist Church and sang in the Choir. She loved watching baseball, playing bridge, traveling, photography, She loved her family and spending time with them. She loved playing with her grandchildren and singing to them and reading. She shared her love of music with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by: Her husband Samuel Dovel, Her mother Tracy McDorman, Her father Weldon McDorman, Her brother Lawrence McDorman, Her sister Jean Corbin, and her brother Donnie McDorman.
She is survived by Her sister Mary Ellen Sherman, Her daughter Barbara Humphreys and her husband Alan Humphreys and their daughter Sierra Humphreys, Her daughter Cynthia Blalock, Her daughter Darlene Griffith and her husband Jeff Griffith and their son Christopher Griffith, Their daughter Tracey Machmer and her husband Eric Machmer, and their daughter Amber Griffith.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 15, at 10:30 am at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 E Main St League City, Tx, 77573. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
