A proud graduate of Permian High School, she excelled in diving, competed in the Miss West Texas Pageant, and showcased her beautiful voice as a member of the W.D. Laura dedicated many years to working with the church and a local florist in Abilene, Texas. After relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for her husband’s career, she pursued her passion for design by opening her own florist business. Her unique perspective on the world was evident in everything she touched, from her artistic creations to the hearts of those around her. Laura’s generosity knew no bounds; she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In her later years, Laura found joy in painting, sewing, and cherishing time with her family and beloved cats. Her grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Milton Trotter. She is survived by her daughter, Tascha Turnley (Brad); son, John Matthew Trotter (Georgie); sister, Carolee Bates (Rudy); brother, Charlie Holcomb (Linda), her cherished grandchildren, Blade Trotter, Caden Turnley, Cazzel Turnley, and Dane Turnley, and her beloved cats, Ivan, Aoi, and Archie.
