Glen Lee Williams
Lt. Colonel Glen Lee Williams passed away Wednesday July 17, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his own home in the presence of his wife, Judyth Williams, daughter, Brittany Williams, and his beloved dog, Snoopy Williams.
The Lt. Colonel leaves behind his aforementioned, wife, daughter, and dog, as well as another daughter, Jocylin Francis and family, and son, Parker Williams and family, brother, Ross Williams and family, and the family Scarlet Macaw, Admiral T. Bird.
Glen fought cancer and won 3 different times, but this is among the smallest of his many achievements. He was well educated, receiving various degrees in Art and Communications. He was an eternal student of life, making his hobby becoming a “jack of all trades,” yet seeming to become master of them all. He learned many different languages, the intricacies of espionage and defense, and adapted to many cultures, all while being a long time member of the the United States Air Force as a pilot and an attaché. He was a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s International and Grand Entry Committees for over 24 years and a dedicated member of the Masonic Order for over 30 years. He built his own home in New Ulm, Texas, and for fun, put together too many cars to count with his faithful mechanic and good friend, Mike Bradley. He loved nothing more than to spoil his beautiful wife, with the help of his childhood friend, Stewart Stanuell. He was a faithful friend to Fred Rexer, going so far as to pretend to be the boyfriend of Linda Rexer to help gain her family’s approval. Glen had more friends than anyone could keep up with and an exponentially larger number of stories to accompany all of them. He loved to regale anyone who would listen, or not listen, with all of his stories, knowledge, and experiences. He never went through life alone and was sure to make sure none of his associations ever did either.
His impact on this world is one most of us can only hope to have. He will be remembered in the hearts of his family, his friends, his church community, his community in New Ulm, the Masons, the Rodeo committees, and his military community.
Glen leaves this world to join his Savior in Heaven, his dear mother, Nettie Lee Thesalone Williams, and father, Allen Williams.
With this, please take solace in his peace and his dirty humor.
Matthew 11: 28-30
Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
We miss you, daddy.

I just remember early on when I was getting to know the family, through Glen’s son Parker, that Parker took me out to “the farm”, and showed me the big barn with the upstairs apartment and downstairs living area and I can remember him telling me about his Parents’ goals to some day build a home in a lovely little clearing off to the side of where their pond was.
I remember sensing some dubiousness in Parkers tone when talking about some of the projects and goals his parents’ had in mind, but he was also always willing to pitch in and help make those thing happen where he could.
Then many years later, after not seeing much of the Williams’ family due to many life circumstances , like my getting married and having kids, I had the chance to go back out to the farm to help trim the horses hooves and Glen took me on a tour of his then, nearly completed home.
I remember being so impressed with all that he had accomplished, doing the majority of the work himself, and his home was truly a work of beauty and a creation of hard work and skill worthy to be proud of. Glen could be stubborn, a trait he passed on to all of his kids I believe, but his determination lead him to many great accomplishments.
I am blessed to have known him and gleaned some humor, hard work, kindness & love from his wonderful spirit.
My family was good friends with Glen & his family in both Panama & Washington DC. He was a great guy with a great family. He was loved and will be missed.
Condolences to the family from The Kirk Family.
Our hearts are with you Brittany and your family.
We do not know Gods ways. But we have to be certain that are the best.
We hope the love of our Lord fill your hearts with love and hope.
I had the pleasure of meeting Glenn through his daughter Brittany and his son Parker via the rodeo. I also found him to very friendly funny personable man.we had several conversations when he and Judyth would stop by my lot at the rodeo to just say hi. I will miss those conversations. I had the honor of being invited to their house in New Ulm after he had lost his ability to speak and was having to write questions and answers on a small chalk board he carried with him. Even so, He insisted on walking me around the place and showing me his cars and barn with all the additions he and Parker had made. It was amazing. I will miss my friend and our talks he was truely a very intelligent and interesting man. I’m praying for his entire family and I know he is in a much better place now and without pain. My God bless you all watch over you all.
