Hilda Ann Bentley
Hilda Ann Bentley, of Santa Fe Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at her home at the age of 61. She was born on July 17, 1962 in Heidelberg, Germany to Herman and Sandra Wratchford, while her father was stationed there in the Army.
Hilda loved to Spend her free time with her daughters, grandchildren and family. Hilda enjoyed traveling, spending time on the water and laying in the sun, she loved plants, going to concerts, Participating with the Bbq cook off team, going to the casino to play slots and watching her beloved Tennessee Titians. Hilda was a nurse for over 30 years. Hilda was a shining light to everyone who knew her. She was a great friend and mentor to many people. Hilda loved with everything she had in her and will be greatly missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her father- Herman Wratchford, Daughter- Megan Lathrop, sister Cindy Wratchford and Husband Bryan Lauzon.
She is survived by her daughters – Ashley Rodriguez and husband Robert, Sydney McDowell and husband Aaron, and Madison Widenhouse. Her grandchildren: Olivia Rodriguez, Isabella Rodriguez, Amelia Rodriguez, Milo McDowell and Austyn Dowdy. Her mother: Sandra Wratchford. Brothers- Dale Wratchford and wife Mindy, Richard Wratchford and Stephen Wratchford. Her honorary children : Julianna Terry, Chris Dowdy, and Lexee Miller. Her nieces and nephews and honorary grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00pm with a Ceremony at 3 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.

Hilda you was one of the best mom’s I ever knew! Your heart was big you gave help to anyone that needed it. She would give her shirt off of her back would open her home for the one that needed it! She was full of life smiled all the time. She would lesson if she was needed. God has a GREAT ANGEL IN HEAVEN TODAY !!! Love you will be missed !
Hilda was one of the best nurses I’ve ever met and a true friend. I am truly blessed to have known such a beautiful lady and heartbroken by her sudden passing. May the peace of Jesus Christ hold her family and friends close until we meet again.

I’m so devastated over our loss of Hilda. Hilda meant the world to me, was a very close friend of mine. Always there for me, no matter what I could count on her.
I just know this difficult for her family members, always sharing her happiness concerning her family, pictures around her expressing her love and affection for each and everyone of you. I would sit down and we would talk about our families and laugh, giggle.
I truly loved her, she was the best ever!

I will miss the warm hugs whenever we saw each other. Hugging shows care and compassion Hilda was full of love. I am glad she shared it with me.I will think of you and smile.
She was a light in the darkness. Hilda was someone you could count on for anything. Very loving friend. She will be greatly missed.
Hilda welcomed me to the east Houston family and made sure I was well taken care of. She went above and beyond when I had emergency surgery there and assured my dad I was in the best hands. That was her as a nurse and as a friend. So many laughs we had. Will miss you and your bright smile.

Hilda Bentley, a true Earth Angel!
Her presence brought a radiant glow for nearly 62 years to the World. She was a true blessing to we who had the privilege to share her enthusiasm.
Hilda met her calling in nursing and leadership-always inclusive, generous, kind, appreciative-she set the example and inspired others to follow.
It was an honor to be a part of Hilda’s team.
