Alex Charles Yokubaitis, III

Alex Charles Yokubaitis, III, 77, a beloved figure of League City, TX sadly left our world on July 07, 2024 at his home in League City. Alex (Yogi) was born on February 21, 1947 to Alex and Celia Yokubaitis, II in Lafayette, LA. Alex has been a resident of League City for over 30 years, a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Alumni of Pi Kappa Alpha at Texas Tech. We say goodbye to our father, whose memories of camping, crawfish boils, and being a wonderful grandad to his grandchildren will never fade. His unwavering spirit will be remembered forever.

Alex is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Celia Yokubaitis, II; son Jason Yokubaitis and brother Roger Yokubaitis.

Alex is survived by his daughter Sarah Roder and husband Blake; son Matthew Yokubaitis and wife Alicia; daughter-in-law Christy Yokubaitis; caring sisters Sally Janacek and husband Chris and Nancy Yokubaitis; Sister-in-law Michaelle Yokubaitis, brothers Ron Yokubaitis and wife Carolyn, Mark Yokubaitis and wife Pam, Dan Yokubaitis and wife Penny and Jon Yokubaitis and wife Alyson; grandchildren McKenley Yokubaitis, Ellie Yokubaitis, Shane Roder, Cooper Roder, Luke Yokubaitis and Whitney Yokubaitis.

There will be a Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 18, 2024 at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Catholic Charities.

  2. Alex, thank you for the fond memories especially those times we spent working on cars together (yes, you did most the work because you were much more skilled than I to say the very least).
    Most memorable was when you mentioned tuning the carb on my ’57 Chevy. Okay.
    Then you proceeded to disassemble the carburetor and dump some 120 parts into a bucket of solution. I thought I was in big trouble once I had to explain to my parents that my 17 y/o buddy has taken it apart as I held a bucket of parts in hand.
    Oh, ye of little faith as Alex quickly reassembled and installed the carb with no left- over parts. AMAZING! You were a mechanical genius my friend.
    I enjoyed our friendship as youths as well as our recent FB communications.
    I’ll miss you. May you rest in peace with our heavenly Father.

  3. Yogi and I became friends via Facebook and shared exchanges almost daily. He was a a proud dad, grandfather, patriot and friend. I know that Yogi was a good man and I will miss him.
    Rest peacefully sweet friend. I know that you are wrapped in the arms of our Lord.
