Elizabeth Sanchez Weir
Elizabeth Sanchez Weir, a precious daughter of God, at 58 years of age entered into eternal life on May 13, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family in their home in Dickinson, Texas. She was born on March 2, 1966 in Texas City, to Simon Baldemar Sanchez Sr. and Julia Garcia Sanchez of La Marque, Texas. She was the youngest of their seven children.
Elizabeth has been married to Benjamin D. Weir for 23 years and they have made their home in Dickinson, Texas during this time. Their home has become a place of prayer, a place of fellowship, and a place where God’s Word is celebrated.
She was a Teller Manager for Amoco Federal Credit Union for just over twenty years before retiring. Since retiring she has been spending her time richly investing in her family and in her knowledge of the Word. Her free time was spent working in her garden(s) and creating a beautiful space to walk and pray. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and attending as many of their activities as possible. Her pleasure was in seeing her children and grandchildren achieve their dreams and being part of them reaching every personal goal. Their sporting events always had her on the edge of her seat and everyone knew which child was hers (We have theT-shirts).
Elizabeth’s personal touch made her home known as the local Hallmark show home to family and friends. She always made sure the atmosphere of her home was inviting and promoted the peace of a loving family with the presence of her beloved Savior to everyone who entered in.

Her precious heart, laughter, and joy of celebrating Life with family and friends will remain in my heart forever. Remember the life you built together and all the people you’ve touched along the way. All your memories are now your treasure. I Love you…..

I’m so sorry to hear this. She was a beautiful soul and her love for God was always a ray of sunshine wherever she was. It’s comforting to know she is gardening and decorating her eternal home. Rest easy Liz and someday we will reunite. Sending deepest condolences to Ben and her entire family.
I was so sorry to hear about my friend. Friend! I do not use that word lightly, but yes she was truly my friend. We did not talk all the time but when we did, we laughed and laughed! The morning that Ben informed me of her death, my day was non-functional. All I could think about was us working at AMOCO FCU for so many years together. I will truly miss her! God Bless, I love you Liz!
We so enjoyed teaching Ben & Liz to dance. It was sheer joy to watch them interact, smile and giggle, let alone cut a pretty good rug. We will so miss her.
My sincere condolences to all that knew and loved Liz. She was truly a kind soul that will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Mrs. Weir guided me through my youth with Jade making sure I stayed in line. Her home was always opened to me and any other youth, any one in general honestly. I’m sad I didn’t stay in contact with her through my adult hood. Progressive dinner were always the best, Ill always remember the massive Nut Crackers. To her family, thank you for sharing her with us. She is living our dream, until again Mrs. Weir
Elizabeth, my best friend from 1975 until 1983 . She moved away and had jade and Joey in Michigan and we sort of lost time in between there. But I stayed in touch through her sister Anet Sanchez and till this day remain friends to the family. I loved you like my sister. I will never forget our friendship and the trouble we use to get into! lol… but it was fun worth it . Spending time with you and your family was the best part of my life. Thank you for being you and for being so beautiful. I will miss you more than anything. I will cherish your memories forever. Love you all…

Liz and I bonded quickly on two points, Love of God and Love of family. We worked
Together effortlessly. We became great friends as well as coworkers. She wore the most beautiful smile I have ever seen and it warmed entire spaces. Ben, after the two of you were married, her smile was even bigger and with more love. I loved her so much and I will try my best to be as dedicated to God and family as she was. Liz , you’re with your God, so rest in peace. You worked had for it.😘.
