Charles Edward Franks, II

Charles Edward Franks II a resident of League City, Texas passed from this life on May 11, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on November 3, 1946 in Portland, Indiana to parents Charles Edward Franks and Dorothy Stewts Franks who both preceded him in death.

Charles spent most of his life working as an electrical engineer in the steel and petrochemical industry on the Houston Ship Channel. He retired from his last position as a project engineering specialist to enjoy his passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years, Evelyn Tribou Franks; his sons Charles Edward Franks III and wife Tina, Craig Elliot Franks, and Cory Everett Franks; his beloved grandchildren Charles Edward Franks IV, Danielle Leigh Franks, Corri Allyse Franks, and Brynlee Elizabeth Franks as well as many loving friends.

In his honor, there will be a visitation on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am, also at Crowder Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), Masses said in memory of Charles, or the charity of your choice are sincerely appreciated.

  2. My heart goes out to Mrs. Franks, to Chuck , Cory and all siblings. I am truly sorry for your loss. I know it is a difficult time . I pray Gods peace be with you all in this time of grief.Charlie is rejoicing with angels. We can all take comfort in that and look forward to a great reunion. I love you all.

  3. Charlie and I grew up together in Deepwater and attended Deer Park Schools. He was one of my closest friends as we grew up together. After High School we didn’t get to see each other as often as we should, mostly at Re-Unions. I would call him every once and awhile to see how he was doing. Thanks for all the great times we had as boys Charlie and may you rest in peace.
