Gary Randall Mull Jr. “Scooter”
Forever in our Hearts Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Born to this life on December 30, 1977. Entered eternal life on May 6, 2024. Gary was born in Galveston, TX to Gary Randall Mull, Sr. and Susan J’Nice Johnson.
He will be remembered as a devoted man of the Lord. He had a giant heart and is known for his giving nature, beautiful smile and big blue eyes. Never did he meet a stranger, always faithfully helping others and praying for them. He was a dedicated member of Glad Tidings Church in Texas City, TX. He was an involved and supportive member of multiple support groups and organizations throughout Galveston and Harris County. ROSC, Serenity Light, Second Chance Street Ministry, Santa Maria Hostel, Bay Area Spiritual Care Network, to name a few. Gary was very passionate about volunteering and his love for the community.
Not a day went by that you would encounter him and not know his love for the Lord. As a family, we could not be prouder of him.
His biggest accomplishment is his daughter, Kelsie. He spoke daily of his endless love for his child. He was baptized the day after his birthday in 2023, this was a milestone and a treasured moment of victory and joy for him.
Although his life on earth wasn’t long enough, the impact he made on so many will forever be remembered.
Gary is preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his mother, Susan J’Nice Johnson, and numerous family members.
He is the cherished brother of Audie Louis Mull Jr. (Tabitha), and sisters: Lisa Spencer (Shane) Ashley Bedard, Victoria Curry (Dylin) and Amanda Gaglione. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Haley, Bumble (his two little Bees), Calan, Bre, Mariah, Oshiana, Jetoi, Trey, Darnell, Deddrick, Sariah and many family members and friends that love him dearly.
Scooter enjoyed his new life and told everyone about it. He enjoyed the beach, taking scenic rides in his truck, collecting crosses, watching baseball and football, spending time with family and friends and LOVED attending and participating in Christian concerts. Over the last 10 months he had attended classes and core workshops and was working towards becoming a Certified Recovery Support Peer Specialist. He was adamant his calling was “to help others in recovery.”
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, 11:00 am at Galveston Island Palms Events, 5802 Avenue S, Galveston, TX 77551. Please join family and friends to honor his life.
