Calvin Premlall Gukhool (2007-2024)

Calvin Premlall Gukhool, 16, left this world far too soon on April 9, 2024.  He was born November 2, 2007, to Melissa and Jason Gukhool in Webster, Texas.

Calvin was a precocious child, energetic and mischievous.  He was always a friend-maker, an engaging personality entertaining almost everyone he met.  Calvin grew (and grew) into a handsome young man with a curious but bold hairstyle, adding wit and buckets of charm to the list of his many attributes (which he often used for good but mostly to deftly get his way).  He had a passion for video games (with friends), hockey and lacrosse (also with friends), and driving (apparently also with friends although he wasn’t supposed to).  He was an explorer and loved the experience of life, never meeting a challenge he didn’t take on.  Yet, he was amazingly sensitive and emotionally intelligent—a gentleman who naturally brightened every life he entered.  Calvin was an excellent friend and teammate, a devoted sibling, and a joy and an honor to have as a son.

Calvin is survived by his mother Melissa, stepfather Mario Badillo, father Jason, and stepmother Leslie as well as his brother Brennan and sister Reagan.  He is also mourned by his grandparents Judith Brennan, and Vicki and Premlall Gukhool, grand-aunt Bernadette Brennan, aunts and uncles Amanda and Bill Koile, Tarra Gukhool, Ty and Margaret Sarver, Trevor Sarver, and Phung and Richard Scherzer, his loving cousins, and far too many dogs.

A Remembrance Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Clear Creek Community Church on April 13, 2024 at the 528 campus on 4201 FM 528 Road, Friendswood, Texas 77546.

He was a bright light in this world, only getting brighter.

  1. I met Calvin about a month ago on a cruise. He was outgoing and energetic and truly really fun to be around. You were loved by so many and had such a light and good energy in any room you walked into. Me and our friends in our group all loved and enjoyed having the pleasure of getting to know him. We’re going to miss you Calvin.

  5. I’ve known Calvin since about 7th grade, he helped me through so many tough times and after I had moved away last year we had fell off a little. I wish I was able to let him know I’m still here for him and I’d give anything to see him again because he always had such a good mood and was always so sweet to me and always made my day better when it was getting hard at school. Everyday after 3rd period he always had a smile on his face when we walked and I’d give anything to see that again. Prayers for his family and friends.

  6. I met Calvin in 7th grade. he was always so sweet to me and always helped me through my toughest and darkest moments when I needed someone. he was so kind and loving to me and always made sure I was okay. Everyday after 3rd period we both walked out of classes right next to each others and walked together with a group of friends, he always had a smile on his face and was always very happy and always made my days better. I’d give anything to see that smile again. After I had moved away last year we kind of fell off and I’d give anything to tell him that I missed him one last time. Prayers towards his family and friends, he was such a good person.
