Dorotha Jim Alverson Gossen, 88, passed away on March 24, 2024. Jim was born to Dr Dix Henry Alverson and Dorotha Estelle “Dotty” Ballard Alverson on September 14, 1935, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jim was proceeded in death by her husband, Joseph Peter Gossen III and is survived by her children Mary, Petie, Joe, and Sarah; as well as five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jim was interred at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas on April 2, 2024. A graveside service was officiated by Reverend Mike Stone of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, Nassau Bay, Texas
