  1. What a sweet lady! We were the same age, our children were the same age as each other (and friends). A.L. was just like the rest of them (all good people). And who didn’t eat Shipley Donuts? If you did, you probably knew and loved these good folks.

    I did.

  2. I was friends with Merrie since we were 9 years old. We lost touch over the years but since FB, we had reconnected. Her husband died less than a month after mine in 2021. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Sending prayers to all of her family who obviously loved her so much. I also think there must be a wonderful reunion going on in heaven right now as she sees all her loved ones who preceded her in death. Fly high, sweet friend.

  4. Merrie brought much joy to all of the young children that approached the counter in the donut shop.
She always treated them with patients as if even a single donut was an important decision.
She also put up with A.L. hosting many of the coffee club guys sitting around taking up space in the shop, but was willing to forgive an occasional mis guided word or two.
Most of all she Loved her family and community.
    God Bless
