  1. Lynn has been one of my best friends for nearly 30 years. I am sick to have learned of his passing since we had just talked before I left for Costa Rica in December. He hoped he was going to feel well enough to come for another visit. I had no idea that he had another stint surgery after as he was healing from his carpel tunnel surgeries. Lynn and I always had a special relationship. We met at Shell Oil Refinery when I was moved from One Shell Plaza to become part of the Facility Maintenance Department. He and I always seemed to arrive at work about the same time and that’s how we met. He would get a coffee refill and in the cafeteria come to my office to sit and chat before starting work. We played Shell softball and volleyball together. We also ran around and would meet at local bars from Pasadena to League City for happy hour, cookoffs to help a local charity or bbq cookoffs. We’ve been on vacations, used to take me fishing, or would host football championship gatherings together. He did not know how to sit still when we were younger. Getting older was not easy for such an active guy. He would call me to pray with him and over him when he felt like there was nothing left for him to do. I was with him thought every high like when Tyler was born and every low like losing his twin brother and Tyler. I’m missing him every day, but I will never worry about him again. He finally met Jesus where his family has been waiting for him. Gone way too early for me and I’m sick that I cannot be there the services. I will be there in Port A for his celebration of life in April. More to come on that…. Stay tuned. There are too many friends that want to share their experiences about the mark Lynn left on their lives.

  2. Lynn is one of the best friends I ever had. Definitely was the big brother, uncle, most honest, true friend ive known. We met back in 2012 in Webster at Floyds. We went to alot of at crawfish boils, fishing trips, pool party’s, Costa Rica trips, river trips, cruises, and cook outs together… It was never a dull moment! Had alot of laughs and great memories. I’m truly going to miss him! One of his favorite beers was Presidente Light from the Dominican Republic which you can’t buy west of the Mississippi but would always get it for him in Miami and take it down to Port A. When he moved down to Port A he would always invite me to come down and hang out for days. He loved Shorty’s, Reds, the belt sander races… He was always laughing and we would always cruise down the beach with Elvis in his golf cart. Lynn was of a kind… I’m honored to have gained his trust and friendship! One of his favorite songs was from Drake – Tuesday…. I’m sure you are smiling down with Glenn, Mr Kirk, and Scotty. Till we meet again my friend…
