Margaret Ann Cary La Point
Margaret Ann Cary La Point, 94 of Hitchcock, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She was born on December 15, 1929 in Gueydan, Louisiana to Charles Andre and Eula Mae Cary.
Margaret was member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; and was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mainland Elks Lodge 2141. Margaret was an avid card player.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Douglas Amos La Point, son Paul La Point and brother Charles Andre Cary, Jr. Margaret is survived by her daughter Karen Petermann, son Michael La Point, three grandchildren; Christopher Petermann (Tracy), Jessica Lawyer (Drew) and Joseph Petermann (Lacy), eight great-grandchildren; Catheryn, Vivian, James, Collin, Savannah, Ethan, Christopher Jr., and Richard and her two great-great grandchildren; Griffin and Jude.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana at a later date.
Our favorite show to watch together was family feud after school eating sweets we shouldn’t have and she taught me how to play solitaire. Always looking her Sunday best leaving the house for any event. Will miss her sweet laugh and her forever
