Betty (Terry) Meek
It is with profound sadness that the family of Betty (Terry) Meek announces her untimely passing January 12, 2024, in Sugar Land Texas, at the age of 83 years old. She passed peacefully surrounded by members of her loving family.
Terry will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her 5 children: Ray, Rick, Tracy, and Toby Brister, and Melissa Meek. Her 14 Grandchildren; Jennifer, Darren, Rebecca, Jessica, Courtney, Brandi, Jonathan, Paige, Joshua, Carly, Jian, Sydney, Austin and Conner. Her 6 Great grandchildren; Kaylee, Leyla, Dominic, Amelia, Aiden and Jaxson. Her brother David Leister, and sister Sylvia Scott. Her beloved cats Katsy Cline and Conway Kitty. As well as numerous extended family and friends.
Terry was predeceased by her parents Willie Lorene Webb and Ralwin David Leister. Her role as a mother and grandmother, which was greatly challenged, showed her quality of unwavering love, strength and generosity. Although it was always known, in her house you had to watch your mouth, you had to watch her feet, you also had to come in with a frosty from Wendy’s, she also made sure you always knew your worth and then added tax. In addition to her witty banter that left those around her laughing hysterically and in tears; she enjoyed card games, old westerns, computer games, and showing her family what it meant to run the pool table. However, her favorite pastime was always spending time with her family and her cats. She leaves behind a profound and tangible legacy of love and support through all her family members, who will carry the values and strength she embodied into their everyday lives with gratitude. She was the center of her family’s universe and will forever be missed.
“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Therefore, she lives on through all that knew her.
