Jodi Wayne Duke passed away December 29, 2023, in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was born January 7, 1953, in Wharton, Texas to parents Theo Leon Duke and Vonni Faye Lindsey Duke. Jodi retired from the Dow Chemical Company after 30+ years as an operator. He resided in the Richwood area for the last 17 years, but grew up in Sweeny, Texas, where he graduated high school in 1971.

Jodi was a people person, was always the life of the party, and never met a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Jodi was a sports fanatic and loved to play and watch all sports. He enjoyed a great game of golf and a good night at the bowling alley. Jodi also had an infinite love for his granddaughter Lily and loved watching her grow up.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Reggie Duke and Mickey Duke.

Jodi is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen Duke, daughter, Aprile Ulloa, brother, Daryl Duke, granddaughter, Lilyana Ulloa, sister-in-law, JoAnne Sweeny, brother-in-law, Bubba Autrey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of life for Jodi will be held at a later date.
