John Mark Holt
John Mark Holt, age 62, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2023, in Henderson, Texas.
Mark was born on January 29, 1961, in Longview, Texas. He was a life-long resident of Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1979.
He went on to Texas A & M University because his father was also a Texas A & M graduate. He graduated with an Engineering Degree in 1983. After graduating he went to work for CMC where he worked for 39 years as a Detailing Supervisor.
He married his first love, JoAnn, in 1985. Together they raised their daughter Natalie. Mark was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman winning many local fishing tournaments throughout the years. He instilled the love of the outdoors into Natalie who is also an excellent fisherwoman. He also loved duck hunting in Baffin Bay with his black labs Cody and then Coal. Mark was also a life-long member of Clear Lake Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn of Clear Lake, his daughter Natalie and husband Tim of Huntsville, Texas, his sister Melissa Holt of Clear Lake and Marilyn Kelley of Danbury, Texas. Also, many nieces and nephews. His parents Jack and Hellen Holt preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, Webster, Texas.
I am shocked and saddened to know my cousin has left this earth. Prayers are with you, Natalie and JoAnn.

There are no words for this loss. I’m just devastated. Losing Ed and Mark, and Mrs. Holt all in the same year is an emptiness without words. Please know I am here for you and will continue the prayers. We will all see each other again, God’s plan.🙏
