BRADEN MICHAEL WATTS, age 30, of Friendswood, Texas passed away November 29^th, 2023. He was born November 29, 1993 in Nassau Bay, Texas to parents Stephen David and Robyn Denise Watts.

Braden loved his family and friends fiercely and was always the life of the party. He was constantly recruiting friends to participate in games at parties such as leg wrestling or the ‘Minute to Win It’ style games that he learned how to do from Robyn. You knew Braden loved you once he pulled a prank on you. From taping his sister’s eyes shut to swapping Kyle’s deodorant with butter, Braden had an uncanny ability to make any room roar with laughter.

Some of Braden’s favorite times were trips made with his loving extended family. Skiing, hiking, fishing, camping, zip lining, parasailing,  and cruising with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents built everlasting memories that the family will always cherish.

He had a passion for the outdoors and hunting. He specifically loved to take friends on their first hunts and did everything in his power to ensure that they loved to hunt just as much as he did. His happy place was the Santa Rita Ranch in Freer, Texas, making many trips with family and friends to hunt hogs, javelina, dove, and rattlesnakes.

Braden was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at Texas Tech University. He was member of the Rugby Team at Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelors’ Degree in Agriculture. Braden graduated from the Houston Fire Academy in July 2022 and served the community, touching many lives for over two years with his Shift D crew at Station 52. While on duty, he proudly helped deliver a baby in October of 2023.

Braden is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lena Tucker, and Bob Tucker.

He is survived by his parents; Stephen and Robyn Watts, grandmother; Sallie Watts, sister; Paige Moreland and husband Dan and niece; Merritt Moreland.

There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. December 8, 2023 at Moody Methodist with services to follow at 12:30 p.m. Geoff Ashley, Braden’s cousin will be officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. A Celebration of Life reception will follow the interment at Hidden Palms in Santa Fe, Texas.

Pallbearers will be John Cross, Evan Piccione, A.J. Burts, Drake Sackett, Travis Wells, Tyler Harding, Taylor Harding, Sean Fitzpatrick, Kyle Briggs, John Lawson, Kurtis Lester, and Ronan Griffiths.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Captain Ramiro Martinez, Juan Benavides, Thomas Guadalupe, Justin Jose, Franco Godoybusso, and R.J. Sumibcay.
