Sam E. Attar
Sam E. Attar, (60), of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2023.
Sam, fondly known as Sammy, was born to Wahib and Barbara Attar, on June 13, 1963. He was a talented carpenter who loved repairing and remodeling the Mediterranean style home built by his father Wahib Attar. He enjoyed spending his free time with friends, family, and especially his two sons Justin and Jordan.
Sam is survived by his two sons Justin and Jordan. He is also survived by his mother Barbara, and siblings, Jay, Eddy, and Layna.
Sam was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ our Lord, and despite hardships emitted hope and joy during hardship. He was very often the humorous center or life of the party filling the room with laughter. His joy and humor was truly contagious, and will be sorely missed.
Sam’s family will host a memorial service on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:00PM. The service will be at Crowder Funeral Home (Clear Lake), 111 W. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, TX 77598.
Dear Barbara, Justin, Jordan. Jay, Eddie and Layna,
As you know my heart is broken over Sam’s passing but I know that he was meant for Heaven at this particular time. May we all celebrate together one day.
Sam was very bright, colorful, sweet, loving and humorous.
I enjoyed many afternoons visiting him and Barbara. I will always remember this precious soul. My husband Barney didn’t have the privilege of knowing Sam as long as I but he loved Sam, as well.
God bless all of you.
Until we meet again Sammy…. Know you are healed and in the arms of Jesus. We love you! Doug, Karen, Austin and (Zachary) Lewis
My grandson Christopher is Jordan’s best friend. He spent a lot of time at the Attar home growing up. I lived just a few blocks away so I would see Sam occasionally and was always struck by his extreme kindness. Sending my love and prayers to the entire Attar family.

I have been continually amazed by Sammy’s ability to fight (and stay optimistic as he did it) and hope he now finds the rest he so deserves.
Sammy -you helped so many that are/were battling Cancer to remain positive. You will be missed by so many. Please keep shining your light and warming the hearts of your family and friends. It had been a long while since HS but enjoyed getting to know you over the past decade through your Facebook posts. It was a joy to be able to see the world through your eyes. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace and may God’s Perpetual Light shine upon him. Praying for the Attar family.
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Sam. May God’s peace and comfort surround you all.
