MARGARET URENRENBU OGBEBOR, 71, OF HOUSTON, TEXAS, PEACEFULLY PASSED AWAY ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2023, SURROUNDED BY LOVED ONES, AFTER A RECENT BRAVE FIGHT WITH T-CELL NON-HODGKINS LYMPHOMA.
MARGARET WAS BORN ON APRIL 10, 1952, IN AVBIOSI, OWAN WEST OF EDO STATE NIGERIA. SHE ATTENDED ST. DAVID’S PRIMARY SCHOOL IN AVBIOSI AND ATTENDED UZEBBA MODERN SCHOOL.
AFTER GRADUATING FROM UZEBBA MODERN SCHOOL, MARGARET JOINED THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE IN 1969. IN 1970, SHE MET HER HUSBAND, CHRISTOPHER IN LAGOS, NIGERIA. CHRISTOPHER AND MARGARET WED ON JUNE 16TH 1973, AND WENT ON TO HAVE THREE CHILDREN – OMO, EFOSA AND NOSA. THEY TRAVELED THE WORLD WHERE CHRISTOPHER SERVED IN THE EMBASSIES OF COTE D’IVOIRE, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, GUINEA, THE UNITED STATES (NEW YORK), SPAIN AND CANADA. MARGARET WAS PASSIONATE ABOUT HER FAMILY AND ALL THE FRIENDS THAT THEY MET THROUGHOUT THEIR POSTS. SHE WAS THE BEST WIFE AND HOMEMAKER, AND A DEVOTED MOTHER TO HER CHILDREN.
AFTER MARGARET AND CHRISTOPHER RETIRED FROM THE FOREIGN SERVICE, THEY RELOCATED TO HOUSTON, TEXAS, TO LIVE WITH THEIR DAUGHTER, OMO, AND HER FAMILY. MARGARET’S PASSION FOR HER FAMILY LED HER TO BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF HER GRANDDAUGHTERS’ LIVES. SHE WAS THE BEST GRANDMOTHER! SHE LOVED TO COOK. SHE LOVED FASHION AND JEWELRY. SHE LOVED WATCHING TENNIS AND HAD A WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR. MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHE WAS A DEVOUT CATHOLIC AND LOVED JESUS CHRIST.
MARGARET IS PREDECEASED IN DEATH BY HER SON, NOSA, WHO PASSED AWAY ON JULY 20, 2018, AND BY HER HUSBAND, CHRISTOPHER, WHO PASSED AWAY ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2022. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER DAUGHTER, OMO, HER SON, EFOSA, HER SON-IN-LAW, OBOS, AND HER FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, SATO, IMINA, ESOSA, SEDE AND OSAYOMORE.

Omo,and family so sorry about the loss of your mom. I rememberseeing the whole family at church looking sharp. I loved seeing her so happy with her family. Heavens gained an angel. May memories wrap you in comfort sweet friends.
